There is a short list of things that we like to be a part of our holiday traditions. I'm happy to say that we have been able to do most of them so far this year, and plan to do the rest before the holiday season is over.
I hunker down with a ball of yarn and don't stop until I've turned out a few cozy items.
We bake cookies. Lots of cookies.
We go to tree lightings and other holiday festivals (on the docket tonight: Christmas Ship Parade on the Willamette)
And we gather with friends like we did on Wednesday. The occasion? Making salt-dough ornaments!

We'll be adding "view neighborhood light displays" and "visit the Zoo Lights" to our list soon, and will post photos of our handmade holiday gifts.... after Christmas, of course.
